COCO PROBLEM

Recommended Posts

I don't have a PH meter only a manutec PH soil test kit the ones that give you a rough idea. I only hand water I don't have a Reservoir . I think our tap water is pretty alkaline or Hard water ??

There are probe versions at bunnings with a little Analogue meter, however it said you had to scower or clean the probe and whole lot of other rigmarole that i couldn't be bothered with.

any simpler versions of PH meters around folks ??Also how would you adjust the PH with COCO in pots that are hand watered ?

O.K. you need to test your water/nutriments prior to watering your plants. You can purchases a little kit from a hydro store to test your ph I think bunnings may have them, not sure thou, you put a sample of your water/nutriments in a little vial add a drop of the test liquid and then read the result. PH up or down is then added.

Goto the hydro shop and get a fairform (or any other brand but imo fairform the best) liquid ph tester cost u round 10 bux.. definetly a worthwhile investment then mix your nutes test ph and add ph down (from hydro shop or bunnings) to get it around 6.5 and see how u go.

Hi JC,

3. PH when using Coco should be higher than the mostly conventional 5.8 in other mediums.

- Veg I set @ approx PH=6.2 & flower @ approx PH= 6.8.

Goodluck JC :peace:

;)

Nitty.

Is that true nitram.

I grow in %100 coco and always run my Ph at 5.5 to 5.8 using dutchmaster advance.

Should i change?

Had good sucess so far.

Thanks a lot folks especially GILLS, I guess I over looked something pretty simple.

This may not completely solve the wirey/elongated plant thing but I think with bigger pots and getting my PH right should be well on the way to good COCO grows.Be heading to my local shop tmrw

Cheers :yinyang:
