LED Growing Light

im a newbie here :rolleyes: planning to start my first grow with a old fridge i have and not too sure what lighting i should get .

i have a couple different seeds lowryder 2 thai haze . i have seen this lighting system on ebay and not sure if it will work . help will be appreciated

also whats the pros and cons of using a led lighting system compared with the others ?? also with the size of a frigde is it possible to install a good ventilation system with a filter . money is not really an issue just want to know what i need .thx

I'd have to say that if money ain't an issue there's better cabinets (bought or built) than a fridge.

 

No personal experience but everything I read puts LED way below alternatives.

 

Personally, I'm looking to T5 fuoros but recent input from my thread asking about such has me also considering CFL (Compact Fluorescent Lamps).

go with a 100mm centrifugal fan and a 100x400mm carbon filter

LED's would work in a growing space suited to 1 small plant....say a floor area of 40x40cm2 with a max height of 1m

 

this is assuming you cover every wall and the ceiling space completely.......i still think the "throwing power" of an LED light is substandard until you look into larger LED bulbs which cost more and can run as warm as a 50w cfl per diode......
