abnormal fan leaves

Well you know how the regular leaves on a plant generally only get 3-5 leafers... well one i was growing a while back had upto 13 individual points per leaf it was crazy... dows anyone know why this may have happened ? do certain strains produce more or less of what ?

thats pretty normal as they get bigger

check the leaves in the background on the forum theres 9!

My latest plant has 5 7 or 9 leaves. 9 leaves at the top, less down low

From my exp. they can grow with anywhere from 1 to 15 depending on the genetics but 7-9 is most common.

means it has 2 leaves from the seed

after the cotaledon leaves

then the next set of leaves are the first set of true leaves

they are usually singular and grow oppersite eachother

all thru the vegatitive stage of the growth cycle oppersite leaf growth occours

in the healthy plant

The first pair of true leaves usually have a single leaflet,

and then the following set has 2 leaflets

the folling set 3 leaflets

so the patten runs

the number of leaflets gradually increasing up to a maximum of about thirteen leaflets per leaf (usually seven or nine),

depending on variety and growing condition

till she starts to flower

once she enters the bloom cycle

opersite leaf growth changes to

consective leaf growth

and is a irey indicator of the plants maturity and willingness to flower and show sex

also in the bloom cycle

the number of leaflets begins to diminish to a single leaflet per leaf.

At the top of a flowering plant in reverse to the start

and also in a consective mannor

back in the ol bush days I've had freaks that sprouted 3 leaves after cotyledon

2 is normal but like weedrocket said you can get them with 3 and sometimes even 4.

i am guessing it a polyploid

atleast i have never been there

maybe others have

but i have never seen it happen

thats why mullum madness dissapeared

and could not breed from seed
