Evaluation of Governments NDS strategy

Recommended Posts

http://www.drugs.health.gov.au/internet/dr.../campaign-eval3

The Phase Three evaluation found that, compared with September 2004 (prior to the Phase Two NDC), fewer 13-24 year olds exhibited positive perceptions of marijuana, ecstasy and speed and more associate these drugs with mental health problems such as aggression, depression and paranoia.

More like these 'advertisements' are linked with paranoia and aggression.

Oh yeah! and....

The rates of drug use in society are still too high. In 2007, of Australians aged over

14 years, 38.1 per cent had used an illicit drug and one in three had used marijuana.

Of Australians aged 20-29 years, 23.9 per cent reported using ecstasy and 16 per

cent had used methamphetamines such as ice at least once in their lifetime.

Soooo.... Well over 1/3 of Australians are criminals? Awesome! We're doin' well!

hahaha are you kidding me? This is an absolute joke. Look at how many people were surveyed. How can they make conclusions from such a small audience. The methodology is flawed and this "study" is too.

anyone can use statistics to prove what they want.

So true, it pisses me off. Got a letter back from the Gov. today and the lady who wrote the letter even said "1 in 10 people still use Cannabis".

I was thinking about this last night in fact, I guessed 2/10. hehe

Anyway, yeh it's bullshit. Why can't they just realise they aren't gonna get it any lower?

That's 70 years or more since the war on drugs started and they still haven't decreased the usage rates. Before that the use was probably 1 in 100 :bongon:

Morons....

Statistically speaking, 99% of statistics are made up!

The government has a vested interest in looking like they're doing something, however it's frightening that they sit on the truth!

Statistics are like bikinis, what they reveal is suggestive, but what they conceal is vital!

We've just got to keep on pollie bothering . . . the more the merrier and eventually the truth will out in the media!

WTF. I highly doubt if I grabbed 100 people between the ages of 20-29 that 24 of them have ever taken ecstasy.

Or is it really that much?

I've noticed they have begun running their stupid little anti-marijuana ad based on pure ignorance. "You don't know what it'll do to you". Gah.
