GT Coco nutes

Recommended Posts

hrmm , .. can anyone tell me what really is the diff between a coco specific nute , & say , an allrounder ?? :)

Ive contacted GT by email a week ago, but the slack buggers havent bothered replying :)

The thing is, Im using a 40%coco/60% perlite mix atm , but I reckon I'll go back to all perlite , & try a 'hempy bucket' style ., & Im just wanting to know if the nutes will be OK for use ..

I wont just throw em out , but It'd be sweet if I could carry on using it , knowing that things will b OK :)

Any help would b great :)

coco nutrient has something added to it i forget whats added but ive been told u can use coco specific nutrients in a coco or hydroponic system but u cannot use a standard nutrient in coco so ive learnt check out my coco chronic diary and u will see the results of using a non coco nutrient in a coco system

EDIT: ive just added my pic of a coco grown plant with non coco specific nutrients post 24 i think first picture https://cannabis.community.forums.ozstoners...12812&st=16

Thanks for ya reply Gazz :)

Checked ya link too .. nice grow :)

Well I guess Im prolly peaking out about nothing then .. Ill go ahead with the perlite Hempy Buckets soon , keep em on the GT Coco , & if things DO start to look a little ugly , Ill bite the bullet n pull the ol' 'switcheroo' with the nutes.

Cheers :)

Thanx gills , yeh , should be fine .. I just got back from my local hydro shop , & from her memory ,the chick reckons the only diff is coco spec nutes have a little fulvic added , & their iron/mag levels are SLIGHTLY diff .. something due to their diff nute uptake..

Ill run with it :)

Coco Nutes can "usually" be used with other mediums but other nutes cannot be used with coco.

I have found that is usually the case gills, but I have used general hydroponics 3 part nutes and never had any issues infact I actully found it better than the canna coco specific line.

I think it comes down to having a quailty complete nute.

U will find that its just extra cal mag......so really u could use any hydro nutes by just add in a cal mag additive.
