T5/8 fluorescent grow lights

Is anyone familiar with the multiple lamp fluro fittings available? See the image of a 4lamp one if i can get it happening...

this is just a 4 lamp model but i recently saw a 8lamp model on ebay for 300 USD that looked real flash (and fucking pricey).

Anyway I saw a vid on marijuanaTV of a grow room 'bout 2m by 3m where they used 2 of the 8lamp fittings and looked to have real good growth with no stretching (as fluros normally do)and nice and lush, so I was curious if anyone here has used em or uses em?

their pretty expensive and seem hard to find in Aust but as Im always looking for something that will get down the sides for supplemental lighting and they put out fuckall heat (which is my No.1 battle up north) i though they might be the go.

I also thought since their so bloodu expensive it may be actually cheaper to make em myself. Anyone got experience? ideaS?

Noone? Oh well, I was thinking of buyin 8 HO fluros and wiring em up in paraellel, they say to use the smaller diameter lamps. Guna have 2 400w HPS above and a 6 - 8 lamp setup on either side.

God i wish i hada bought higher wattage lamps way back when then i wouldnt be having this prob - as much.

They sell them at Ideal Electrical, I have a small one on a free standing rack (for seedlings, cuttings etc) that I got from Urban Hy as I saw them growing some capsicums in the shop that had very good growth after 3 weeks. I plan to use them for keeping my mums alive but am toying with the idea of growing a plant to completetion under it just to see the difference in yields

at ideal huh/ i got a mate there. How many lamps in em? and wot are you using? i would have thought just a normal fluro wood do4a mum. I emailed the Co. in the states the other day but they dont distribute and said no one in oz has em. only 120v too.

I think it'll be slower but how much is the thing and cost may make up for it. I raise my clones under 2 fluro grow laps and have bought em to a foot high when ive had a backup in the big room and they go well.
