Quietest CENTRIFUGAL Fan around 200mm-250mm

Recommended Posts

I was thinking the Allvent 200 UF?????? seemed pretty quiet compared to a can fan?

I am in a flat on the second floor and noise is a problem?

So what exhaust fan have you got and how do you find it?

Is centrifugals the best to use verse noise, if not what?

when you connect a carbon filter to centrifugal fan it reduces the noise noticeably

also some pple make light-weight boxes to competely enclose the fan and pack around the fan with material ranging from blankets, doonas, old rags to deaden the sound and claim it reduces noise nearly altogether ...

some hydro shops even sell 'silencers' for centrifugals which are similar except that they wrap around the fan with a padded material and have a zipper that just zips around the fan if you know what i mean .. soz im not too good at explaining when im so whacked :xcited:

heya gazza  ... mate i saw these silencers / mufflers at Festive Hydroponics in SA about a year ago, but me being a chronic tight-arse i told him he was dreaming cause it was too expensive lol

anyway i rang him up this morning and asked if he still had them .. no, but he has similar ones, according to his description they sound similar to the ones in the link provided by'shirty' in the previous post ...

i told him me mate needs one but has to see it online, so he is going to try and upload a photo of them by the end of today to their Online Store which can be found here; www.adelaidehydro.com

look under fan accesories or mufflers , but dont hold ya breath because i think he is a chronic smoker so sometimes unreliable lol

hey but the worst part is the price! .. are you sitting down?.. ok for the heavy duty one its about $200 and the other standard one is about 100$ , and thats for a 250mm centrifigual fan :yahoo:

hope this helps
