WTF MH retro

hey fellas,

hooked up the MH retro tonight, got a 400W digi ballast all grow lush, the retro just flickers each second tho doesn't ever get there.. you just hear it and see the gas flick blue then nothing, blue flicker, nothing.. the hps worked fine first go but on second go again the retro did the same thing. i've contacted the company.. but retros are supposed to fit hps ballasts right? cheers guys..

I didn't think digi ballasts run retro bulbs. They have to be MH or HPS.

MH retro will run on the old ballasts but the digi has to be MH or HPS.

also double check what digital ballst u have grow lush sells 2 models one will run a HPS+MH lamp the other only runs a HPS lamp

Lumatek run the retro 600w sunmasters no dramas at all. I would try and get a cash refund on the growlush if u can and fork out the extra $$$ for the lumatek.

See thats bullshit on growlushs behalf, a true digital ballast WILL run both HPS and MH.

 

Every other digi on the market around the world can run MH and HPS........makes u wonder huh!?!

yeah it's from Aussieponics guys, and you can't contact them when you have a problem, they have a messaging service that doesn't work, no phone number and it fails to send emails to them. this is fucked
