Folier Spray

What do u guys think about folier spraying plants? is it worth it? does it really make a difference i am in particuar looking at Dutch Master Folitech. If it is effective how often should i do it? and do i need to start 1/4 strenght nutes?

Foliar feeding is a very good method to get nutes to plants quickly, but it can be overdone very easily. Only ever use around 1/4 strength, and don't do it more than once a day, preferably less, as over spraying actually starts to leach nutes from the leaves, giving you more problems than it solves. So take it easy. Oh, and most sources suggest that foliar feeding during flowering can cause mould problems, so when they start, cease all foliar feeding. And when you do foliar feed, do it in the "morning" of your light cycle, so that the water can have time to be absorbed/evaporated, because if you leave water on plants in the dark, once again mould becomes a big problem.

I have been really impressed with dutch master products and have herd really good things from shop keepers about em :-D Has anyone actually used it? Its kinda pricy 48$ for a litre :-) But you only use 15ml to 250ml water. So it will last me 66weeks of vegitive spraying :-D So in the long run it only costs me 67Cents a week. I think that is pretty darn cheap :-)

 

Currently i am only using Dutch Master Advance and Gurdian.

yeah, advance! is it any different to other nutes, i think its what iam gonna buy soon, I dont use guardian but instead i use neem, Although i keep getting these blood caterpillar but dont know wherte they come from.

Advice I was given about foliar sprays is that if you overuse them the and the leaves start to absorb most of the nutrient intake....that the roots beocme stunted......so the advice was dont overuse the foliar sprays...and dont use them in the last two weeks fo your grow....unless you flush them off the leaves....(depending on your nutrient)...

I only spray during the clone/seedling stage now, gave it away for veg, couldn't see any real benefits.

Really? So how long in do you foliar feed for? And do you use it for clones?

I got the Dutch Master foliar vegitive and it says to spray 2 times weekly and soak the leaves. Thats what they reacommend anyway.

 

 

Does anyone know if i can use full strenght nutes straight on with foliar feeding? or do i have to slowly bring them to full level.?

g'day; i foliar spray veging plants, mothers and clones with same nutrient mix i water them with, Canna Vega nutes.

i spray every time i enter room, up to 10 times daily, i never had problem.only foliar feed in veg cycle, never in flower.

i've sprayed daily with straight tap water too, works great.

 

you MUST have plenty of air circulation.
