JaykeSucks
Well, I'm in a bit of a pickle here. I bought myself a nice diffuser off of EDIT, having made a rough guess at the length of my current stem.I ended up buying a diffuser that was just a tiny bit too long, and doesn't seal up properly because the end of the diffuser presses against the chamber of my bong.I was wondering if there is a way I can shorten a diffuser? I know with stems they can be cut shorter, but because of the end that diffusers have, that can't be done.I heard that maybe a glass blower could heat it up and compress it or something, thus making it shorter.Has anyone heard about this?Or any other suggestions? I don't wanna fork out another $25 shipping there and back to get it swapped over for a smaller one...I'd much rather pay that $25 to a glass blower who could do it for me that day. Thanks guys, -Jayke
JaykeSucks
Anyone? I need to so soon or else I can't return it if I need to.
Pig Mindset
Sounds like you're pretty stuck and I dont think a glass blower could do much. By how much length do you think it is out?
JaykeSucks
A couple of centimetres I'd guess.I could always give it to someone as a gift and buy another when I have more money...Does anyone know of any other possible way?
JaykeSucks
Please? I really need to know. I don't wanna rock up at a glass blowers with bong parts and just get told to leave. And plus, if I need to return them (with a fairly reasonable out of pocket cost to myself), I have to do it soon. Plunger
that's a bummer. They get pretty expensive on EDIT.
JaykeSucks
Yeah, that's why I was hoping someone might have had some experience. This fella called Peter Minson (Glassblower from NSW) is giving me advice via emails now, and he reckons he could cut a section out and then rejoin it. It wouldn't look pretty, but it'd work.So I think I'll take it somewhere maybe even today, see what I can get done.I'll let you guys know how it goes.
