pipeman
What type of lighting ? (Someone cheap i dont have alot of money) The best lighting is HID. Check Tom's sig. You can use compact fluoros for veg but a HID is far superior when flowering. In terms of cost, a decent 400W HID light complete kit will set you back around $200 to $250. but its a one off expense. After that you only need to replace the bulb once a year for around $50. This investment will give you many many ounces more bud than fluoros. Its up to you to decide whether its worth it or not. How long before they begin to flower ? You choose when they flower. In veg you have the lights on between 18 and 24 hours a day. When you want to induce flower you turn the lights back to 12/12. depending on the strain a plant can triple in height from start of flower to finishing, so make sure you leave yourself enough room. If i am using 6 pots and how much lighting like wattage do i need Lighting is based on grow area not on number of pots. Work on a minimum of 20W per square foot in veg and 40W per square foot for flower. How much do i need to water them per day just after the seeds have germinated ? generally in soil you only need to water every second or third day. Generally wait for the top inch of soil to dry out then water until it comes out the drainage holes. Can't go too far wrong. Do you use normal water or distilled water ? Tap water left to let the chlorine evapourate for a day or so is fine. And when do i start using the blood n bone fertiliser. wait till the plant has a few nodes I'd say, then go real light on the nutes and don't use with every watering. here is the only link you will ever need for mj on the net. (thanks sols) http://www.growrooms.com/ In particular a few nights browsing through the FAQ at overgrow.com would be of great benefit IMO.

Tom
If a seed is germinated and has that little tail sprout how long can you preserve the seed for if you dont want to use it or throw it away ?The only way that you can keep it alive is to plant it. If i have one of those HID lights should i have a container with the pots in there like what should i put the pots in so the dirt/water doesnt go everywherePut some plastic down and use plastic saucers under the pots. http://www.gamers-forums.com/smilies/contrib/ruinkai/coolgleamA.gif
