First Indoor Grow

Ok I am now crossing over to the dark side.After losing this years crop to pests,nature and theives I am now lewft with little to nothing for the rest of the year so I am resorting to growing indoors.This is something I have zero experience with so I have a lot of questions and yes I have done some research but not enough and I figure there is not better teacher than experience but before I embark on this journey I would like some input from the experienced.

 

I have a 400 watt HPS and my space is about 1m x 1m x 2m High.What is the rule of thumb for number of plants.Can I grow 4 or shall I stick to 3 I just want the maximum for that lighting as I have no smoko.I am going to try coco growing in buckets.I pretty much have the info there for what I want and several good strains to start with.How many weeks do I veg for or is it different depending on strain.Do I use the 400 for the whole grow as thats all the gear I have at the moment and no cash.Should I get a 600w next time round for the flower.Decisions decisions,Thanks in advance.

400watts sounds good for ur space but will still need air flow, i reckon look into scrog with 1 or 2 plants to maximise the light , and about upgrading to the 600, more light = more bud if u got it all dialed in.

avadgardener...im on the same size requirements and everything man, im running 4 plants in that size space, just use 15 ltr pots and you can fit 5 pots 4 to the corners and your "superior" in the middle. yea and with lighting, like paul said, a 600watt means more buds, and you can use the same light the whole way thru, theres no need to swap out light systems, tho ild go a 600 watter.

please dont be scared of indoor, yes outdoor is the best marijuana in the world , but to study and breed well you must grow indoors, i suggest using big pots and using your organics, then just feed/water more then usual as the temps are higher during the indoor grow . temperature makes bad tasting nug get it cold as you can.

 

you will find growing in a controlled environment is great fun and since your experience outdoor you will benefit from the best quality FULL FLAVOUR Dirt weed that doesnt make you angry the next day

i guess this isnt the right thread but dont you guys find smoking the waterfed makes you more angry then smokin the dirt and the dirt weed gets me more stoned and tastes better.

Its been awhile.Had more bad luck after posting this and some vermin got into my grow and wrecked it not once but twice.I fixed those little bastards.

I am now just about ready to go to 12 hours and plants are looking mighty fine.Just got a 600 off my mate so I will switch to that when I go to 12.Its all good.I will try to post some pics.
