Police Seize Drugs and Assets Worth Millions

Recommended Posts

Hey folks Six thousand plants in the forest in Police have seized drugs and assets with a value of about $15 million as part of a six month crack down on cannabis in the South West of Western Australia.

Police in Busselton have seized more than 6,000 cannabis plants. Most were growing in state forest.

Three people were charged this week with possession and cultivation offences.

Detective Sergeant Paul Ford says the seizures will make a significant dent in the South West drug market.

"The amount of cannabis, I mean six-thousand mature cannabis plants, some of the plants we seized were ranging from three metres in height to four metres wide, fully mature," he said.

"The amount that they would bring to the street would be a fair amount."
