G'day all,this is the weirdest thing.I woke up this morning and I noticed two little white hairs coming out of where the stem meets the branches(nodes I think thier called)but the thing is absolutely have these plants under 24 hrs of light this is impossible isnt it?anyway their two white v shaped thingies with little hairs on them they are pistils aren't they and if so what the fuck's goin on

 

oh yeah the plants are like 15cm tall only just in veg stage

thing I dont understand is why thier flowering now under 24/0 light and when their that damb small it's spinnin me out it's like a bonsai tree or somthin

Plants can still indicate in vegging, how old is the plant? If it's over a few months it may be telling you it's ready to go, of course that doesn't stop you from keeping on vegging! Oh, and I think I've heard somewhere that certain strains are less dependent on the photoperiod to flower and tend to flower when they're ready, and not the other way around. I would advise you not to keep the photoperiod on 24/7, as plants don't need it. It may produce a bit of extra growth, but the unnatural, (in the extreme, no night at all!) photoperiod may be stressing her out.

nothing wrong with 24/0 no plant will auto-flower under 24/0. I believe 24/7 means 24 hrs on 7 hrs off. Anyway, thems things are female preflowers. They are showing fairly early.

 

18/6 will cause auto-flowering in some strains. It happened to me with AK-47. 24/0 will not even with pure ruderalis.

As far as i understand when people say 24/7 all there daying is 24hours a day 7 days a week. NOt 24 on 7 off. If i am incorrect please tell me!!

That's my understanding of it too, but in my days at OG I remember some growers going the other way about it and apparently there were timers available to set for those hours.

thanx for the info guys I just thought it was abit ridiculous for it to be showing preflower at 15 cm I had abit of ph problems early on and it stunted growth but as of late I've been watering with ph adjusted water and that's when it's showed preflower oh yeah my understanding of 24/7 is 24 hrs 7 days a week

Yeah I've read posts at overgrow that claim that yield can be increased by increasing the light periods but keeping the dark period at 12hours. Like 15on, 12 off. I can't remember the hours but it was something like that. Obviously to attempt this you'd need a 24hour, 7 day programmable timer.

yes, there are "auto-flowering" strains that WILL flower under 24hr light cycle, they are predominantly 'Ruderalis', from far northern climates like Arctic regions.they will flower from 10 weeks of age no matter what light cycle you use.

they are regarded as good for breeding purpose only, they are very low in THC content.
