First Grow Soon

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys,

Im still reading up before my first grow, been learning for a few weeks now. Im still

undecided about the method I will use. I want one that does not require too much maintenance

and thought the bubbler garden looked OK. Does anyone use bubbler buckets and how good do they work?

Thanks heaps lol

mate I'm only a newbie grower and haven't done a complete grow from start to finish but I reckon bubblers are a good way to go. bubblers have the reputation as being one of the fastest growing methods and are not complicated at all. Just get a bucket with a lid, make it light proof, stick a net pot with clay balls in the lid, an airstone in the bottom and you're away. Can't get much simpler than that. I've just started to grow in a bubbling bucket and fucked up my plant by giving it full strength nutes. I found out that in bubblers you're only meant to use 1/3 strength nutes or thereabouts. nevertheless the growth rate was still incredible.

i get good yeilds using this method. nice fat long buds. i don't like to post yeilds, but i will say they have been above average to good. head over to cannagenics.comand you can see my current grow from start to late bud, so far. it's in the strain submissions forum under "kongXhaze f2's".

jrs lol

I been growing DWC for 3 years, probably before that article was written. I copied mine off an aquafarm my friends had.

The yield depends on strain, I have used other methods and still yielded around the same. The best thing about DWC is the ability to get as much yield as SOG and other systems with a much smaller amount of plants.

I dont recommend it for seeds or anything. I only put clones in DWC and use another seperate organic SOG for seeds. So I'm not using twice as much lights in veg as I will in bloom.

But yeah great growth and very easy to use. There is a bit of good info on this site in the hydroponics section.

I get yields on average of about 25oz under 2 400w with 4 plants each light.

But it all depends on strains, whether the garden is homogenous, lights, etc....

more than the system you use.

good luck

I don't think that you should go for the bubbler system as a newbie. Keeping the system running can be a bitch, unless you've had prior hydroponic experience and know what you're doing. Quite frequently, these are two things most newbies don't have. Experience or knowledge. So my advice? I'd say try a simple media hydro or soil grow for your first attempt. This will give you the basic knowledge and experience which is so valuable to growers of anything. Once you feel confident, then move into DWC if you're comfortable with your skills.

Of course, this is all IMHO and others will no doubt disagree with me on this. :D But that's the beauty of humanity, isn't it?

mate I wouldn't be daunted about bubblers. The thing to remember is that even the most complicated hydro systems are still simple. You just got to know the basics. I know fuck all about growing, stuffed up my nutes in my first bubbler attempt and still have that same plant in one bucket filling out my whole cupboard.

IMO, and others as well, hydro is simpler for newbies than soil. because you just need to follow a formula, and if something fucks up you simply flush and start again.
