Best Growing Method -Indoor

I'm a lazy, Lucky grower.

I use an airo 5 system which is a 400w hps in a space of 1m x 1m x 2m high.

Its an airoponics system which holds 5 pots with clay balls.

I have this sitting on bricks and have removed 1 on each side for air inlet and use a 200mm bathroom ceiling fan for exhaust.

I'm lazy so ph and nutes only get checked every second day, And at the end of grow only the grow tubs get washed and the walls get a quick wipe, My whole grow box is in a closed, Dirty, Dark room so i dont have to worry about light leaks.

I'm lucky as i've had no real grow probs and always pulled a good enough yeild and have only had a small mould problem, But this was mainly before i used a exhaust fan.

My additude toward growing this herb is, Its only a weed, Dont baby it.

I've had way better results when i used to grow outdoors without knowing what i was doing, Planting the seeds straight in the ground and watering when needed. Since growing indoors with expensive seed i've started the babying and my germ rate has dropped.

They must have grew well outdoors as my last outdoor raid, The young drug squad officer wanted photos as he reckoned they were the biggest he had seen, 3 were 12+ foot, My biggest you could see from the street over the top of my garage, A mate pointed it out from the front yard so i pulled her early, The cops were happy when they found her, 32oz of unripe bud of 1 plant.

hey FoL...

what wrong with using builders string / twine ??? I'm in the process of constructing mine at the mo... and Ive looked at the whole mesh idea, and well, the say the least, it looks like a total pain in the little red arse hairs, when it come time to harvest...

So I thought... hmmmm, here too ideas...

1. I was gong 2 use poly, so as it could be cleaned easier etc etc.. even though my preference it to wood... its natrual ..

So I drill holes in my poly evenly , all the way round, and then feed builders string back and forth, back and forth, etc etc etc.. you get the idea...

This way I have got a little give.. yet as builders twine is extremly strong, so it would support anything I want, and as its not nylon it wouldnt ment under the heat of the lights, nor would it cut through a stem...

And come harvest... Snip go the threads boys, snip snip snip ...

-----

or....

if you were to choose wood.. do the same thing, only using scren in eyelets.... ?????

Just a thought..... let me know what ya think.... Pro's / Con's ?????

just something...

I use a metal mesh system....stapled onto a square frame....takes about 10 mins to put up and can be removed just as easily......

The ppl I see yielding profusely are the ones that dont use mesh systems...the ones that let plants grow upwards and then bombard them with light.........

g'day; for small areas, S.O.G..... sea of green is best.

lots of short finishing clones, easy to have rotational harvests.once setup correctly you can harvest an ounce a week under 1x 400watt light.

you must have 2 setups minimum to grow SOG properly imo.

1 for mothers and veging clones, the other for flowering only.

Hey FOL, I scrog in a 1m x 1m cab that is 2 metres high. 1 x 400 watt son t agro.

6 plants, 2 rows of 3. 3 x 10 litre pots sit in a 10 cm deep tray that catches the

runoff and sends it back to the res. Clone into a 1 inch block. Grow in a seperate box with flouros for 4 weeks, move to 2 inch block and put in growrocks in 10 litre pot. Top feed dripper system, one per plant. Grow on for

1 - 2 weeks , about 5 cm even coverage above screen. Bloom 8 weeks.

I use a steel mesh with holes about 8cm wide - called dogfence. Easy to get

buds out of. Got 9 oz last time, but had a few young seedlings in, so could do

better if it was a bit uniform. I think a 600 watt would be perfect, but not sure the box could handle the heat. It took alot to get it low enough with the 400.

I forgot to mentio I turn over about every 9 - 10 weeks.

I vote for vertical! For an area 8ft wide by 11ft long- 9 NFT gullies colliseum style, three elevated per side and 3 in the middle laying flat. 10ft L & 6 in wide with 9-12" between potholes. Perfect for SOG, a breeze to clean and efficient. Water/Air Pump(s) run 1 min on and 4 mins off so power use is kept low yet the plants have fresh nuts and air 24/7.

The amount of light that's captured vertically is truly amazing plus plants compete less and are more easily saturated with air. CMH bulbs positioned vertically outperform them all. My set ups modular & can be elevated up to the light so single colas are the size of a womans calf and are very dense. The systems affordable and easy to DIY.

One drawback- supporting the girth can be a bit of a challenge but its a welcomed one indeed. Vertical NFT systems deliver more lumens to more plants! Keep it real,
