Changes to WA decriminalisation laws

In the West Aus yesterday there was a spread that mentioned that MJ growing will be criminalised again and possession allowed for fines will be reduced from 30g to 10g.

Anyone heard of this?

I heard something about it a little while ago....

Colin Barnett is a f*cktard. Too old to be premier and run the state in my opinion. He needs to be told that prohibition NEVER works.

I'll see if I can hunt up more info about this.

Damnit, wouldn't surprise me. Barnett hasn't done one thing that I've liked since being elected. He looks like he should be a used car salesman, not our premier.

First they talk about cracking down on violence amongst youths caused by alcohol, then they toughen the dope laws up so more kids will be forced into drinking. It's so stupid. So so stupid.

He is a dickhead in my opinion, not just for his attitute to mj

He is too old and out of touch with the real world. Into protecting the rich wankers and screw the rest ...

He also doesn't intend to support daylight saving... I think we need it to have any hope of being part of ONE country... if there is no daylight savings here they may as well make WA a separate country.

And I think there should be Sunday trading... that's one way to increase jobs and stimulate the state economy at NO cost to the Government.

He's an idiot .. and the fact they kept Troy Buswell in the party after his behaviour shows exactly what the Liberals are like...

END RANT lol sorry

I totally agree about Barnett. The guy is so out of touch.

Every time I see him on the news he looks confused, like he doesn't know what the hell he's talking about or what he's doing. I saw some people confront him a few weeks ago to voice their concerns about something and when confronted he just said "okay I'm leaving now bye" and left without caring.

Sunday & extended trading hours too. When I went over east I was amazed at the amount of shops open later & on Sunday. I hate the argument they use that small family businesses will be affected. Look around, what small family businesses?! This isn't the 60s any more, argh stupid government. As if the Liberals would care about a family business anyway - they're all about making the money. What they don't realise is the potential to make a LOT of money by taxing green if legalised. But I guess that would scare the miseducated middle/upper class voters away.

WA is going backwards!

It's happening and they are going to try to keep it quiet. There was a big write up on it in the West Australian on the day I posted. Looks like there won't be much public consultation on this...

Wouldn't be in their best interests to allow public consultation ..... lol

What I'd like to know is .. since we are having a referendum on daylight savings .. why can't they ask our opinions on other stuff at the same time .. like legalisation and like trading hours ...
