Ya right Gazza, that plant could be in trouble with the beginnings of nute burn right out at the extreames of the leaf ends.

 

In dirt , coco , perlite mix {What ????} - only 5 weeks old i think 5-6........before putting it in this big pot it was 89% root bound in a small pot

only fed it water........dont those tips go like that when theres not enough nitrogen? Na ! thats when it seeks nitrogen from it reserve stocks in it's leaves often refered to as 'leaching' and that's not the problem.

that's only the beginning and mean the compost is too hot. Safe call to flush"Radic but won't solve his main problem.

 

 

like i said its allready lost two sets of leaves on the bottom allready ...the top ones become good the older ones die...and then the young ones become the older they die and the cycle continues?

 

That's because there is not enough energy to sustain and let it thrive it.

 

indoors 100 watt fluro @ Week 5? Root bound now in a big pot - more than likely new compost to go with the pot.

 

A picture says more than you could. The main problem is you need to string 2 & 4 post of information & combine them.

 

My conclusion, for what it's worth, is that you are the proud possessor of one very light starved/deficient plant (hence the slow growth).

 

It has been really deprived and is now "stunted" I should report you to the Canna Crulety Society (C.C.S).

 

Na seriously, people should & will forgive you and help the plant. I'll have a stab !

 

What sort of job did you do when you re-potted the plant when it was 'horribly root bound ? - Tell us what you did. Did you put it into new compost? What type? How long ago ?

 

What i would do is get some decent wattage onto it (probably solves the main problem as i read it. Say 400w HPS, no feed, possibly a decent flush (only when you have fixed your lighting) and in 2-3 weeks the plant may overcome being "Stunted" & when you want 12/12 switch (too sex it at least). It's a nice looking plant.

 

If this is not possible & your in OZ toss her outdoors (all the watts ya need free) & your in luck it's that time of year - if your in Oz that is......... ya IN Oz ?

yeah im going to change to a MH

and try giving it some organic fert gave them chemical fert and they didint like that

 

there is allready alot of stuff in the potting mix im using fish something and bunch of shit

 

i tihnk you gota be carefull giving young plants fert when they got alot in the soil allready!!

 

as for switching too 12/12 then going back

 

id never even tihnk of doing that , cant be good for the plant

 

prob turn them hermie or fuck with them big time anyway

 

 

also they were root bound in small pots not that big one

Also I read my potting mix on the side it says it has

 

 

enhanced flower booster

re wetting granles and water crystals

fish sea weed kelp nutrient

 

 

could any of these be doing harm?

of course the soil is probably to strong in food for your plant as i said it looks like its being over fed.....
