An alleged drug farm which used an elaborate irrigation system to grow cannabis has been raided by NSW police.

 

More than 1500 marijuana plants — with an estimated street value of $1.5 million — were seized from the property in Mudgee in the state's central west.

 

Four men were arrested at the scene and are being questioned.

 

The cannabis plants were ripped from the ground and will be destroyed in a large burn-off, police say.

I wonder if this one has anything to do with the one my mates found 3 years ago. They were riding dirtbikes through the scrub/bush about 20km outside Mudgee and came across a massive crop. Noticed some wire when they were approaching it so they didn't go any further, for obvious reasons. Could be the same blokes that just got away with it until now, it wouldn't surprise me.
