Using seasol in flowering

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Firstly I'm a newbie to both growing and this forum, so hi.

I'm growing under a 600w in soil and my question is - seasol ok to use on plants in flower?

If so how do I apply it with the Bloom A&B nutes i'm using from the hydro shop> or do I apply it on it's own?

Thanks for any help.

Big welcomes to ya mrgreen :D .. and yes it is ok to give them seasol in flower, i mix it with my hydro nutes for soil grown plants but i only add it to weaker strength nutrients cause it does lift the EC/ppm levels .. if you have a EC/ppm meter you can mix it whatever strength you want .. it does contain very tiny amounts of NPK ... alternately it works well as a foliar feed sprayed on leaves but may flavour buds with seaweed/ fish ^_^..

Thanks for the welcome frazzle :D a couple of extra questions to ask on this please.

If I was to use the seasol would I just mix the appropriate amount to the 10L of water with the Bloom A&B - or ad it separate?

I was told that seasol wold improve the flowering and ad some size to my buds, but if there isn't that much NPK in it then it really doeasn't sound right then.... Damn!

Can you suggest something I should use to help to get some weight to my buds then please? I have my own in week 4 of flowering and I have a friend set up with his in week 1 of flowering.

Cheers

I grow in soil and use hydro nutes during flower also...

For some extra weight to my buds i add Molasses ( in Australia it called TREACAL ).

I add 2 big spoonfulls to about 6 litres during the entire flowering period including the last 2 weeks of flushing it also adds a nice flavor to the buds when smoking.

Theres Seasol and theres Powerfeed, made by the same people.

Powerfeed is the one you want for flowering and mid to late veg imo.

Its all ive used, plus 3 feeds of potash powder in early flower.

From what i understand, the seasol is more to condition your soil, makes for healthy roots and good bacteria/microbes or something...

cheers

Thanks for the replies guys and sorry for my late one, but when I was checking for replies I'd never see any. I can't work out this forum set up too well... learn as I go along I guess.

Anyhow if I wanted to apply seasol - or bunza bud or something like that to fatten up my buds, do I just mix it in with my flower nutes or do I add it separately in another bucket?

Peace

Hey Mr green I mix it up with my nutes and it works fine also(works well as a ph raiser too). Ive found after the nutes are made up and ph has been corrected the ph can climb in the following 24 hours up by 0.4 but for whatever reason this only seems to happen with the Seasol and not the Searles brand. I have also found adding seaweed solution has little or no effect on e.c. and finally i use it conservatively at around 1ml per liter. Hope that helps a little more.
