Did anyone else see this on the News last night?

Australia started as a penal colony - although without the history books I'd have guessed as a mental asylum - and now we've come full circle. Just imagine how good it will be when a police officer can arrest you if you refuse to give your fingerprints!

next it will be thumb scans to verify who you are when you get your drivers license renewed.. like in the US.. thump prints for your kids to enter the skool grounds.. RFID chips... not for your cats.. for people.. so we can supposedly track them.. just incase they get napped.. its all going to happen.. and people will let it happen..

I don't think it's the people letting it happen.... Well, I mean, I spose it is in a way because people don't really bother to find out about these things and when they do they write letters and newspapers and shit but that's all.

I mean look at the (Rant coming!....) Internet censorship. Nobody knew about the fact that it was being funded for trials and being set up etc for MONTHS after they started. I found out and was just sitting there going when the fuck are people going to realise they are trying to pull this shit on us, wasting our tax dollars?

WE should have a right to say what our tax dollars are spent on.

I mean I didn't know Aus had private prisons until last month when someone posted that here and we've had them since 1995!

And nobody agrees with the internet censorship, it's like 5% support, but they'll go ahead with it because the government doesn't care. The only thing that will stop things like this is RIOTS!
