Is there a drug test in the australian medical for permenant residency

As per the title, girlfriend is going for her residency medical, they perform a blood and urine test, do they check for cannabis? Ive heard from another scource that they test for cocaine and heroin?

I WOULD find it hard to believe they would test for drugs at all.

 

The fact the your girlfriend smoked some chronic or dropped a pill or 2 is of no concern to the general public.

 

What's important is that your girl friend does not bring in any foreign viruses/diseases that do not exist in Australia thus being a burden on the health system/public.

 

I would imagine these are the only concerns for the relevant Authorities, however I could be wrong??
