i got my PH and PPM meters from ebay around $30 each the cheap chinese ones i brought them in 2006 and they are still working today :peace: :D

I also thought I'd mention the meters I got were purchased 7 years ago in 2002 :peace: ....only replaced 1 ph probe tip so far :D

...had a petit mal and kinda slammed into the floor as I faceplanted :uhhuh: ...as I said...take care of your equipment and it'll

take care of YOU  ...Truncheon was the other NZ probe...I think it measures in ppm (parts per million) I think...? :peace:

There's another thread with truncheon in the title posted today somewhere.... :D

peace out

Alright thanks guys! and these can measure ph in both water and soil? Or do I need two seperate instuments? And thanks for the photos Medi-useA :D

no probs alex21...as far as I know with my probes they are only for liquids...though you

might get a soil ph by getting distilled water, check ph...add some soil and check again...

...not sure how accurate it would be though....Thoughts, anyone?

Perhaps someone should start a probe/meter thread...photo's and stats...how to use and maintain

these essential tools of our ...er 'trade' :peace:

peace out
