first indoor grow aeroponics

i have been reading mushamans aeroponic grow diary flat out. it is a top read and i find it extremely helpful as he runs a system that is almost identical to mine. his is 10 litres larger and has no drippers. and also slightly different sprink placement and plumbing, thats all. he ran into many of the same problems as i have. it really helps to be able to see what the future holds and plan for it. i used to dread nute change day just like musha. now i actually enjoy it. no more moving plants or tubs and fuckin shit up. i just pump out the old nutes with my existing pump. then i mix the new nutes in a sep tub and adjust as required, and then i just pump em straight into the res. only takes an hour instead of 2. also they get to stay under the hps. stress free. i have found the small amount of old nutes left in the top chamber and also the 1 or 2 litres that the pump cant suck from the bottom of the res actually helps to balance out ph when i add the new batch. i dont use any ph up anymore and the solution levels out at around 5.8 after an hour or so and stabilises. i think using less ph up/down has really helped the plants, that shit is no good. runnin at 21cf and will raise that over the next few weeks to a max of 24cf. only additive so far has been vitamax bloom enhancer at 5ml per 4l. in the 3rd week i will commence solidas potash. post-25744-1235544453_thumb.jpg

ohhh yeeeaaahh! i cant wait until i have the problem of fat heavy buds in need of support chato. :D gonna check out the roots tonight mate. ill get some pics. the roots i can see comin out the drain are white at the bottom half, but the part thats exposed up near the drain is a slightly tan colour. it was worse until i stopped the oxyplus and started the microbial instead. what i have done is increase the volume of liquid in the res to keep all those rogue roots almost completely submerged. when i last checked this prob had not moved to the root chamber. so i hope its still sweet. there is no decaying smells or dead root matter floating about though. yeah i will ask pure bout multiples, thanks bro.

while on the subject chato. while i was reading post 244 of mushamans diary there is a pic of the cut stem of a male in his aerogrow. im wonderin if he just left the roots to rot in there and if he had probs? the plants were quite large so would have def been interwined in the rootzone.
