well the clones seem to be ok, day 2 and they still look perky? finished the clone box. so the only time the clones get an air exchange is when i open the dome daily to mist? vents fully closed at all other times, is that rite? my main concern with the clones is the larger ones top leaves are pushed up against the roof off the dome? dunno what to do there? i took mostly 12-13cm cuttings and didnt measure my clone domes height. :D yeah, got the pins out. i used the larger blocks coz the hydro shop was outta small cubes. he told me although it takes longer to see the roots the larger blocks have a more successful strike rate? :peace: fucked if i know, but there too big for my dome anyway, but got no choice. also picked up an 11w nelson cfl. heres the clones against the lid. post-25744-1234486114_thumb.jpg

your doing everything right SODA and the sign the clones have perked up and one has a yellowing leaf is a good sign its using nutrients they should be rooted in no time  yep keep the vents closed the clones need 100% humidity otherwise they would wilt and die just another thing why didnt u think of cutting the big rockwool cubes down to smaller cubes? :peace:

what can i say gazza.....i have no excuse. didnt even think of cutting em, and i even saw it done in sukonmiskunks tutorial. sometimes im just fried. :D can i use little wooden skewers to gently bend the clones over that are touching the dome lid? heres that requested root porn and red sprinks. fuckin nightmare gettin into that chamber. :D but neccesary and worth it to know that i dont have any sign of root rot, just fresh clean white roots. :D also worth it just to see a root system for the first time ever and fuuuuck! it blew my mind! :peace: i cant believe that it is so thick and dense. also, no way i could drag those rogue roots growin down into the res back in. got me stumped and will be a problem in the near future. post-25744-1234507876_thumb.jpg

Nice roots bro

Double drains an can also buy drain protector things that might help you a bit. A big problem with aero an why it's suited to quick veg time an turnover is once the roots form a carpet like that on the bottom of the tub it becomes a hybrid nft/swc/aero system an you have to be more careful with your water temps and stuff. Are you using cannazyme or something similiar?

Keep an eye on your system now though cuz if those drains block fully your tub will fill an overflow which is never fun :disguise:

peace

so i brought the plants out of the drobe to flush out the veg nutes and change to bloom nutes last nite, as you can see in this pic, the plants are lookin good and perky. but after being out from under the 600 for about an hour, they not so much as wilted, but more just wouldnt support themselves and flopped over? :disguise: i hope they are sweet. i had to stuff around for ages last nite with the bloom nutes, the plants were out of the light for at least 3 hours, but i was fluhing the whole system with fresh water, so the roots stayed wet. anyway with the veg nutes i hardly ever had to adjust ph after mixing, if i ever did it was slightly down. but with these bloom nutes, when mixed the ph is at about 4 and having never used ph up before it did my fuckin head in for over an hour trying to get it up to 5.8. i had to add ph up, test, re-test over and over again. it was the lowest. are bloom nutes always low ph? and any tips for bringing ph up real quick? instead of adding a few drops to water then mixing in res again and again until correct? thanks heaps. post-25744-1234509041_thumb.jpg
