Water issues

Recommended Posts

Hi fellow growers of the magic urb mon.... hehehehehe

just wanted to get some feed back from a few of the out door growers that grow in 50ltr pots or larger..

I am finding that the plants I have in 50ltrs pots when given 20ltrs of water dont need any water for at least 4 - 5 days as of late....(temp range 33c and under) but my 20 ltr pots are needing water every day.. if you do the math they should be needing water ever 2 - 3 days..(temp range 33c and under)

im tempted to get 75ltr pots and given em 30lrts of water evey 7 days and see if this works...

any one else in the same boat... would love to only have to visit the ladies once a week that would be sweeeeeeeeeet

Ohhhhh yeah... forgot to mention growing medium is %100 canna coco no water crystals or perlite at all

Hi shroomy,

just a thought,........did ya line the pots with anything?........sometimes the smaller particles sink to the bottom and form a layer, making it harder for the water to drain through ^_^ If this is the case ya can just stab some holes through the lining and watch the excess water run out...

Porous medium

Poromechanics

Im no pro so i dont know all the angles........it could be something way different lol and i could be totally off track :peace:

Anyway hope ya get it sorted ^_^

hay mate

maybe worth getting 20l drumb with drippers

1 20l drumb per plant

water plant once a week and set dripper for the rest of the week

put light strength nutes in and it will also fed them

paint drumbs camo so they dont stand out

stinky

thanx for the idea stinky... I looked in to this, the only prob is you need a hill to gravity feed the hose that leads to the plants... and where i got em atm.... just really isnt worth the effort

courz the trade off is mobility

bigger the pot more energy it takes to move them

till you reach the point

you might as well plant straight into the ground

gravity feed irigation is easy

2 to 4lt bottle per plant would be fine

make small holes in the lid

screw it on

and tip the bottle upside down and push it into the coco deep nuff till it can ballance upside down

there yah go

Gravity feed drip irragation

gotta love dat

forward ever
