With all the blood, sweat and tears (thankyou Mr Arafat) this country wastes in trying to eliminate intoxicants, whiles allowing the two deadlies to remain legal, I have a question:

 

Why aren't our scientists spending their money DESIGNING new intoxicants. But doing the research to make sure it's safe? There's OBVIOUSLY an enormous fucking market out there. Drugs are not going away. Like prostitution, they will ALWAYS be here.

 

It seems that since the early 1900s, there's been a worldwide prohibition on the introduction of new intoxicants. They can't be hard to make. LSD was stumbled upon by accident for fucks sake.

 

All I'm saying is that surely it's best for EVERYBODY if we took control of the situation and dedicated some of our scientists to creating awesome new drugs that were SAFE! Instead of these bullshit pharmocological alchemist concoctions.

 

"Mr Jones, you've got phancifuldreamsocosis. It's fatal unless you take THIS drug!" These are the people giving cancer patients the most toxic poison possible and ruining their immune systems because they think it'll fix em despite millions dying otherwise.

 

We need to take this power out of the hands of these dangerous criminals and start creating beautiful, safe, natural powerful intoxicants for all the world to enjoy.

Society already has its perfect phantasmal-drugs hardwired into society: Cable TV, Internet, Implied-Forced Education (notice how the youth NEEDS a university education nowadays?). The reaction? Stopping those kiddies from doing business in the real world, imposing belief-systems that don't challenge the norm, etc.

 

Plus these days it can be argued that nearly the entire working class is bio-structured around sugar, caffeine, alcohol and tobacco, whilst neuro-structured around the media, marketing and social trends.

 

And when those kiddies DO go outside, society has them gobbling up the other perfect drugs; in nightclubs you have everyone drinking energy drinks and alcopops, walk around outside and cigarettes are still puff-puff-puffed, friends meet up over MacDonalds and other fast-foods for their quick fix of trans-fats and sugar. Because these are all taxed, these are figurative cash-crop games created by the Government old-hats for the younger generation to play. Many of these substances, consumed in excess can be dangerous to both your health and your savings account. If you want to play the government's game, go ahead and pay for your 'privilege'. When I'm ready to play the alcohol and tobacco game again I'm pretty sure I'll be living in a place which won't cost me $45 for a shitty bottle of scotch and $50 for a freakin 'DUTY FREE' cartons of cigarettes.

 

In retrospect, we've already got the best intoxicants and entheogens already given to us! The fact is everything on this planet is known to have harmful pharmaceutical side-effects if taken in excess...

...so do we really need 'new' intoxicants? Or just a new way of controlling these economic power-games?

I like your argument stranger. Well posted.

 

But I am not attempting to discuss the politics of sugar, tobacco, alcohol etc. To me, these are all bad killers.

 

Instead of giving killer-drugs to the populice, and having them made in backyard labs (I'm not talking pot/shrooms), why not take control of it and design awesome psycho-active stuff that's not addicitve and has no bad effects?

 

It'd be a beautiful thing to do for the people. Imgaine how many lives would be saved? The government would get it's taxes...

 

But I really think I'm dreaming unfortunately. It makes too much sense to ever happen.

they've been coming up with new intoxicants all along!

mdma, 2cb, 2ci, dob, amt, etc.

but these are relatively newly synthesized entheogens and this requires time and only time to figure out if their safety can be measured

 

and all in all the least dangerous psychs have been weed, acid, shrooms, mescal - the substances many normal people have been getting high with for years and years sanely, successfully and safely
