pyrethrin bomb late in flower

Recommended Posts

I'm about 3 weeks away from harvest and I have a minor mite problem. I was told that pyrethrin bombs break down to all organic matter within a week and that it will not effect the taste. I am very skeptical of this and I try really hard to keep my pot organic so that the smoke is not harsh at all. If any one has had experience using pyrethrin this late I would love the advise on how it changes the taste.

Not sure on the real time figures for pyrethrin breakdown, however I make it a rule to never use pesticides within 4 weeks of harvest to be sure of true flavours and safe smoke.

Also, growing organic doesn't really mean it wont be harsh, just natural tasting :yinyang: (and it wont have that hydro nute burn at the bottom of your lungs), I find organic pot is often just as tickly/bitey on the throat as any other.

Hi torchhead - it's a pity about the mites

the "borg" - the growers night mare realized when they start to "assimilate you and your bud.

As TheHeadCing said it is not commonly used and avoided unless absolutely necessary.

I wont comment of the taste, aroma & quality ect - its all pretty subjective and open to so many variables.

I have used a home made 'white oil' [on the roems - search] It's organic but it has limited, if any impact on the 'borg' like many other substances. Its more of a preventative measure for other less durable insects.

goodluck
