When do i switch to 12/12

Hi guys i got 6 plants been under the lights for 2 weeks now,just wondering when i should switch the lights over to 12 on 12 off at the moment theyre on the 18/6 cycle seem to be doing pretty well. Theyr under a 400w hps my grow space is pretty limited as well 188cm h x 106cm w x 50cm d .. I was told i could keep 6 plants in here but just aim for an ounce a plant should i change over now or give it a while?? Any info would be great thanks

Give it another 3-4 weeks at least before you do if you want them to reach their potential

 

I have a very similar grow area and am only going to go with 2-3 plants at any one time, i figure i will get quite a bit more than an ounce per plant, hopefully....

it depends on how quick your plants are growing if there growing normal u can switch to 12/12 in around one weeks time the 3rd week from seed is avarage for a 2-2.5 foot plant or if your plants are not growing at there normal speed just flip the light over to 12/12 when they reach 1/3rd of the height u want them to finish at

Are the plants from seed or clones.

 

If the plants are from seed they need around 6 weeks to mature before turning to 12/12 but you can do sooner it just wont produce as well.

 

If from clone you only need a few days and u can turn to 12/12 and have one bud plants but most ppl will veg for around 2 weeks before turning.

 

One thing to remember when turning a plant to bud if the plant is say 1 foot tall by the time it finished budding thay will be around 3 feet tall...

awesome thanks for the info guys, they are clones . One person recommended i try to do a scrog setup but that seems a bit hardout for my first grow. Ill change the light cycle next sun then it would have been 3 weeks under the hps.

have u got any pictures mate? when i grow from clones i only veg for 3 weeks it works out perfect there around 12-14 inch by this time

nice ladies mate if they were mine i'd flower now as they look like donkey dick phenos and u dont want the bigger plants leaving the smaller ones behind
