Sounds like fun! I have found panda film or white plastic to be more reflective than mylar. Also its wise to invest in a quality hygrometer so you can take exact readings on ambient temp, exhaust temps and humidity etc. This allows you to dial in the conditions of your growspace easily and accurately. Im with gazza, piss the soil off and use the perlite and a quality a+b nute. Plants grow faster and more vigorously than in soil, and they just generally look better. Hope this helps, have fun.

Hey mate im just plastering up the exhaust and inlet holes on a lage cupboard i grew in -rent lease is up.

 

I have grown in sheds and bedrooms before and i prefer these. The problem with the cupboard was that the set up was just as expensive as a full room yet the yield is much lower. Do not bother if u intend to do this as a money making venture, only do this if you desire to grow your own premium weed.

 

Dont worry about CO2 if your exhaust is adequate. also mount your exhaust high in the roof (heat rises dah) and your inlet low in the room, do this and heat will not be a prob. I only used a 150mm centri with no inlet fan and had no dramas even in these summer days.

 

Secondly for indoors hydro is better. i have posted a design in another post that i recon is pretty simple, effective and cheap.

 

Oh and one more important consideration - dont use bag seeds !!!! i did and couldnt keep them short enough during flowering. Although alot of seed varieties are suited to indoors i can personally vouch for AK47 being very easy to keep short and compact. however make sure u use a carbon filter these gurls stink.

Alright guys, Ive read all your advice (all seems pretty good) and Ive thought it out again! What about a 400Watt HPS for lighting, a spectrum customline C200 centrafugal 150 watt, 220l/s for ventilation, running the fan with an odour sok as exhaust to a small cuboard on top of the wardrobe that is the same dimensions, just 63cm tall, having the fan suck the air from the top of the grow room out into that with the odour sok on it, and then the small vent in the bottom corner as passive air intake.

 

 

its a good plan mate. u have all the ingredients for a grow now if you want to go soil because you dont know enough about hydro then do soil, altho with the hydro option, if u were to go down that path look into a DCW system, just because they are easy as pie. the only problem with soil is u will have little bugs... no matter what u will always have little bugs.

 

remember when u flip to 12/12 light cycle u will get 100% stretch so if your plant is 40cm tall and u flip into 12/12 after 4 or 5 weeks it will be 80cm tall, unless u work with proper genetics and u know its characteristics.

Ive been away for a few days and just got a look at the replies, it seems that my current plan is a good one so in a week or two Im gonna start setting it up, ill put up some pictures when Ive got it all ready!
