I read truncheon pens are easy and accurate.are there different brands other than blulab,are they just as good?

Was wonderin that also. $120 for a bluelab tn is a bit much. I know they are da best. I might get one of the bluelab lookalikes from hong kong for half the price? dunno yet....

$120 for something you need that wont break and lasts for years is very cheep, in saying that mine cost nada pulled it from a bin with water damage at a grow shop dried it out and she worked... i use it for quick checks and my 3 in 1 temp/ec,ppm/ph when mixing.

 

If you want to save $10 get a Growth tech unit that youll be calibrating all the time.

id have to agree

buying a bluelab is confidence

confidence they will back there product

confidence they will supply great service

confidence that its acurate

the cheaper version are just knock offs

bluelab have been in the game for a hwile

accuracy is the key for me ands the trucheon is great

Bluelabs seems to be the name in the game.

Though I like to save money and took a risk....

 

I didnt like the look of those import pen type the truncheon type looked better

so I found that growlush has a truncheon throgh aussieponics. About $50.

 

It is the first one i have ever used and am happy with it

it doesnt need calabrating either.

The Bluelabs trounce the Hong Kong versions in terms of branded backing, Bluelab may be the shit but growlush seem to make a great product and have a good range so you might think their version could be quite good,

Any opinions? I too have to splurge in the next couple weeks for a truncheon, was planning on just going to the local hydro shop and getting a Bluelab, cheaper than ebay anyway

yeah, i got the bluelab. like someone else said, they last for years and give spot on readings every time. glad i got it. yeah growlush make some o.k stuff but just dont buy their hps tubes.
