You got ticked too quickly - calm down and you didn't respond to replies any order of priority if at all.

 

Frazzle (first poster) was polite in giving you one possible problem to think about. "light" .

 

I would think that the opposite applies as well - light leakage as well. This is one of the possible design problems ?

 

You say you have fans ect - hence ducting ect ..& I think I read in my stoned & wasted current state that your lights-gear (400hps) & bulb is relatively new (2 grows).

 

Your plant pictures (which r very healthy) show me that you don't have a problem vegging them and keeping them alive. So so how old r your 'nice plants & under what lighting conditions 12/12 or 18/6 ? What size is your room/pots? How far from the canopy is your light ?

 

I had one stoner thought - "You would do well @ making hanging baskets" that is a complement not a derogatory statement.

 

But should I trim as shown ????

I think you have a space problem so your keeping them as squat (prune & tie) as possible am I right ?

 

Personally, I give my plants free reign to do what they r meant to do - survive, expand (in the case of the female plant multiply) in order to grow.

 

By "fan" what do you mean (type of fan & size)?

 

The plant when tied down may need the shade leaves removed to allow light down too lower colas.

 

Have you tweeked your growing style .... Try "SCROG"

I wasnt ticked , just confused /shocked .

 

Light leakage is nearly non existent .

 

I have a 8inch exaust fan with a household fan blowing on plants with a passive intake .

 

My room is 800 x 1200 x 2000 High , so space isnt so much a problem , I just do the LST to try and get a better yield .

 

That plant is about 6 weeks old , a cutting taken from a plant in head .

 

The main I thing I see with my plants at harvest , is all this tiny crappy bud stuff about halve way down that isnt worth even harvesting .

 

Oh , I did try a SCROG , but with the same results .

look mate we all want more bud...it's all trial and error i grew 4 plants last year and was lucky to get 2 ounces.....thats right 2 ounces!!!!....this was due to impatience and the strain was AK-47...not such a great yielder...i only vegged for approx 4 weeks from seed........had a 1 1/2 foot tall plant......try a sativa strain....short veg easy to grow....great for amateurs.....also i find if you only have a 400W try using a SCROG...this enables alot of the plant to get more light.....check out my diary...

btw when i say soil i mean potting mix

try a bigger pot

10 ltr pots restrict your yield

why do u take cutting from plants in head?

best practice is for cuttings in vege

by the way you are growing in perlite?????nothing else.....try coco or adding perlite to soil.....the water and nutes are probably just runningout the bottom of the pot

But the pot is sitting in a kitty litter tray , so the plants have a reservoir . I think I will just be a bit more harsher in pruning the lower stuff so it doesnt suck the life out of the upper stuff . The old , " you have to be cruel to be kind " mentality .

I got about 4 Oz off my 3 Mazars, veged for about 3 wks, aprx 6 inches tall, 5-6 sets of leaves, grown in perlite/potting mix(searles) with resevoirs, hand watered every 2 or so days, under 1x400Wson-t-agro+1x100W CFL, 8 wks flwring so I think your in the ball park!

Maybe a longer veg would help+more light like others have suggested

you said your light is a year old.... time to replace that worn out bulb.....maybe with a 400watt son T agro...
