Fertilizer for Soil newbie

Hey all as u have seen in other posts i am in the process of my first grow...... 22 seedlings under a 400watt HPS. I plan on ending up with about 4or5.

 

Anywase what kinda fertilizer should i be using? i am going for sompthing reasonably priced and easy to get preferably Big-w :-D just down the road. When shoudl i start applying? If u dont know which brand to use what nbumbers should i be looking for on the box?

I reckon for your veg stage, Thrive from Yates is a pretty decent fert.. it has a high nitrogen content of 27% i think.

 

For flowering stage, Manutec Bloom Booster seems to work pretty well.. This should be available in nurseries... garden sections of Mitre 10 etc... Thrive is available from supermarkets... Aquasol is another good soil fert.

New potting mix should have enough nutrients for 3 or 4 weeks, it you add fertiliser to seedlings before then you could give them serious nutrient burn. One of the soil growers could give you a bit more accurate information though.
