Gday ppls...

ive just almost finshed my grow with Indica dom plants.. and i was wondering

how tall most of yall grow your plants b4 flowering

and can u tell from how tall your plant is the aproxx yeild..?

or nearabouts your going to pull..?

I have some Afghani#1's here in flowering now.. I started flowering them at around 25-30cm... They're 3 weeks into flower now going into the 4th and they're at about 42cm tall... I estimate they'll finish around 80-90cm... As for yield, sorry man can't tell ya yet.. I'll let ya know in the next 3-4 weeks...

 

How were they when u started flower? How tall now Ele??

I flower mine between 60 to 90cm, to finish at 100 to 150cm. 40cm x 40cm are per plant. Get between 2 and 3 oz per plant.

Growmad, most indica stretching will happen after 4 weeks, The Afghani I've got is a very stout plant and would finish at probably 50 to 60cm I'd say.

 

all this doubling indica, tripling sativa shit is not true. I'd say its based on SOG and if it is then 3 times is not enuf for sum sativas, I've had flowred clones at about 5ft tall. But a 4ft tall plant isn't gonna reach 8ft after flicking the switch.

Many people make the mistake of measuring plant height from the floor and not the media which can be around 12" difference, that 12" blows out to a 2' discrepancy when you double the height, my Indica's do double their height during flower stretch and one Sativa I started flowering at 2' was over 6' at harvest time.

i know this thread is supossed to be about indicas but i put my sativa(by the looks of it)dom grown from clones into flower at about 2 ft high and 11 days later there about 4ft high so with anouther streach left of 2 feet and there at the ceiling,so i think im going to have to rethink the position of the light (vertical hps china shades) cause they have anouther foot and abit before there growing past the globes .i think if i grow this strain again i might think about flowering a bit earlier.happy herb.

@WC I had read somewhere that the Afghani#1 only doubles in height, but I didn't want to risk my plants hitting the light, so I flowered them at 25-30cm. I'll know how tall to grow em next time... cheer for that WC..

You can tie them down, but not too far or the stems will crease.

 

Get some string and some size 64 rubber bands (the 1/4" wide ones from a newsagent or stationery store), bend a rubber band in a U shape around the stem about 1/3 the way down and tie a piece of string through the ends of the band. Tie the other end of the string to something like a nail or screw in the wall to hold the limb down. The rubber band is gentle on the plant (don't tie it down hard enough to stretch the band) and will still allow movement in the "breeze" from the fan. You will also notice that the smaller buds along the branch will grow a lot larger with this method.

I find all my indica hvy strains usually work out best if I flower at 20 cm above the screen (i'm scrog). The screens about 20 cm above the medium (growrocks top fed).I've only got a 400 so if I had 100cm stalks, half of it would die off underneath. I only tip them twice now, so I get four heads per plant, and average about 2 ounces per plant. I think it's better to bloom a at a bit shorter length rather than too tall, as an overcrowded room of hunchbacked mangled

plants is ugly and very moist.
