Cannabis house uncovered in inner-Sydney, police

An elaborate hydroponic cannabis set-up has been uncovered in an inner-Sydney house, with drugs worth an estimated $200,000.

 

Police raided the house in Ripon Way, Rosebery, about 3.30pm (AEDT) on Friday and arrested a 41-year-old woman who was hiding in a cupboard.

 

Officers found an indoor cannabis plantation with 68 plants and a quantity of cannabis head being prepared for distribution.

 

They also seized chemicals, filters, fans and heating lamps.

 

Three first floor rooms were dedicated to cannabis cultivation, a fourth was used as a drying room, while the ground floor was devoted to storage, police said.

 

The woman, whose immigration status is under investigation, was charged with cultivating a prohibited plant.

 

She was refused bail and was expected to appear before Parramatta Bail Court later on Saturday.

reminds of the times when my mate lived down chippendale, smokn up in the attic until one day the street was filled with red and blue lights of all sorts , freakn out at the time as for sure the bust was going down but this is as close as a anyone wants to get the next door neighbor had the roof decked out in hydros and the water sytem busted ,flooded the house out and plants floated down the street , poor bastard
