Hey all have been looking around to get my perl/verm at the local garden and farm supplyer and thay have 100lt bages of each and thay are about $28 each so for a bag of each, it is going to cost me $56 about that any way, dose sound to much or is it about rite.

that is what price it is, its pretty fair I reckon, premium potting mix is about $7 for 25ltrs, so its about the same.

 

and yeah, rockwool is useless shit, I find it holds a good amount of water in my tables and is real useful for getting seedlings ready. But growth seems stunted.

Its not a very good MJ growing method, its more for cuttings and cut-flower crops.

I pay nearly $50 for a 100 litres of perlite/vermiculite so $28 sounds good to me, I used to grow in straight perlite but the added vermiculite seems to improve the air circulation to the roots and it also retains a little moisture too.

Mkae sure its a coarse grade perlite and youll be laughing.....there are I think 3 different grades of perlites and the finer one sucks...go coarse or go home....... :D
