Where do I start?

Recommended Posts

What soil mix do you have them in?

Your other account has not been validated yet.

I got some potting mix from Bunnings, and mixed that with some soil from me garden.

Have been watering daily, and once a week feeding some blood & bone nutrient food stuff.

How can I validate my other account, I thought I had! ... :scratchin:

Thanks, and merry xmas

I would not feed with any nutrients (eg blood and bone) for a while, there is probably some kind of fertiliser in the potting mix.

I would give it a good flush with water and lay off the fertiliser for at least a few weeks.

It's christmas so the mods might take a bit longer to validate your account (if thats what needs to happen not really sure)

IMO you should have used potting mix only. Garden soil is full of too many nasty microbes and bugs for a sprouting just germed plant. I found that rose potting mix works well. Good luck. lol

Hi Paul500 or now temp 501 ...... .....

I'm sorry to hear of the losses ,,, ,,,,,,,, ,,, you should not have mixed anything in with the mix as brick50 said and you should have made sure it was sweedling raising mix specifically for young plants. Other regular potting mixes are too 'hot' (contain too much nutrients)

Plants seeds ( particularly mj plant seeds) contain all their food to last upto and longer than 2weeks at a minimum. They are self sufficient , resilient, and amazing things to watch go through there cycles (sprout, growth, flower, and die). The various phases they (the plant) go through needs little help - mostkly water which in nature is supplied by rain.

The one that is left needs slight misting (folier spraying - no nutes just PH adjusted water PH= 5.8) and watering to keep the soil damp, but not over watered. As it has only a few green leaves left lets hope it dose not loose too many more, or any more since it only has 2 of them. It will need the 'solar panels' to support it's root development in it's next transition to living off Co2, H20 & O2. You'd have never have guessed how you would use chemistry and biology you passed over @ school......lol

Anyway, it's day 12 and 5 out of my 6 seeds died ... ... or let's just say they didn't leave the soil in their quest for sunlight!

BUT! ... I have this little baby left. I've had a few leaves drop off, but have been told this is normal ...

Hogs wash ......:( ... .... ..... lets face facts they should not 'normally die'

All the best with the sole survivor. It's relying on you :disguise:

:scratchin:

Looks like you are wasting your time mate . Most potting mix is made up of bloody Pine Bark chips . and its useless ! Its too acidic , pine bark is fucked !

Get some decent composted manure and worm castings .

Firstly thanks for the reply ... lol

Well since last post I've transported the poor thing into a bigger pot. To start it went all limp and I thought it was dead, but it's since started firming up again.

To be honest I have nothing else to play with so will keep watering etc till it drops! ... it's all a learning curve aye!
