New grower with 3 diseased plants, please help

Recommended Posts

I have 3 fair ladies out the back. Recently, I noticed a couple of the leaves were afflicted with this condition. It started after wet weather, and although I don't have much experience in cannabis cultivation, I am an avid gardener. The condition seems to have spread. Only some leaves are affected, and the condition doesn't seem to be extremely aggressive. This is an 800x600 photo of a typically affected leaf:

I would appreciate any advice. This will be my first decent harvest if I can get back on track. :peace:

Can't thank you guys enough for taking the time to read this and respond. :peace:

The plants are ground-grown outdoors in pots, in high quality potting mix. There is definitely no insects on the plants. The symptoms seem to be abating now. They started towards the bottom of the plants. MM is quite possibly right. It was a rainstorm that triggered it. Plus he obviously knows what he's talking about.

If it were a fungal or bacterial disease, would a spray of chilli and garlic solution help? If it's not, would it do any harm?

I Will post images again of the entire plants. Thanks again guys. Peace.

im not 100% sure, but i think the chili and garlic sprays are mainly used for insects eating your plants as they dont like the smell/taste of the chili and garlic so not sure if it would benefit for a fungal disease, :peace:

Hi GABAlover, - first thing calm down.

I know summer is short but if you've not got bush (10-15 weeks veging & 10 weeks in Flower) relax. That leaf (nice pic) is from a well litghted plant outdoors. It's so convienient to be able to move them if necessacary.

Yea - although the parranoia of posting pic on here you may think you are beyond detection - don't be deluded. That it may be a better bet posting on photobucket, but only slightly as is only be on par with os. Anyways back to your concerns and points.

It would have been good to see how tall and for you to provide some information (ie how old), the enviroment (apart from rain; light availiable (day noight hours) & more on the progress of the difficulty as you did later in your post. Initial informaqtion was brief. You did mention rain, you did say .....

the condition doesn't seem to be extremely aggressive.
and the hoto size (wich is a usual size for posting pic on the net .. but if you what to post a 2MB of another fresh leaf of both sides the underside is of interest). Nine photo but useless information.

You seemed to discount outright a 'condition', or ailment related to insect infestations, or its biginnings. Why ? You have told us your a "keen gardner" and possibly know many common plant insects which cause ravage on plants. In the same breath you also say " I am not implying that

I am implying that a number of outdoor 'insect phenomonon' and a common blight to the outdoor/indoor (those who move their plants) crew. That of the "dreaded borg". Yes "spidermites".

ev ....flush is always good . :toke: . are they in the ground or pots ? any chance of a pic of plants ? they all got the symptoms ? ..mmm... ..[i hear your mind ticking over ev !] .............could be nowt , check under all leaves for bugs , use a mag glass if you got one [bingo ! Dong :disguise: .

Those sap-sucking shits demolish a bud indoors in no time. They love oudoors even and esapecially soif it rainy sesson . . . . . . god i miss the tropics .......

ev

&

billopuffalot ....post Jan 9 2007, 06:28 AM HERE as a suggestion. after all it can't hurt like all of the previous suggestions.

Now i am surching both my hdd & OZ stoners forms for you for a "White oil" - effective, economic, and organic (prviding you choose the right 'dish-wahing liquid') .

Mix together 1 cup (250ml) of cooking oil, 1 teaspoon of dishwashing liquid and 1½ cups (375ml) of water. Dilute this mixture at a rate of 6 teaspoons (30ml) per litre of water for spraying.

If you use this white oil on orchids or ferns dilute the spray to 3/4 strength and do not spray when the temperature is above 25°C.

I had one for 'milkly-mildew' and/or 'podery-mildew' that invoved using milk (ie anti-fungal gent) but I can't find it. >:(

GABAlover .... would appreciate any advice. This will be my first decent harvest if I can get back on track.

Thats about it except to note all these responses are contributions to your request for 'advice'. It also was repliqed to resonably soon - relatively as it a stoner site firs post ed request on Dec 5 2008, 05:03 PM & mpw it is 8 December 1.21am

Shit ! .........1.21am Monday. :disguise:

That's incorrect. Have a look at the https address on this site.

As for the plants, unless the whole plant started to get that sort of leaf I wouldn't worry. Just make sure they have a decent mix of soil and fertilisers, have decent drainage and don't overwater.

What blend of stuff are they sitting in?
