yep id say there ready i take it they have been in flower for nearly 6 weeks? by the looks of it i normaly flush mine for nearly two weeks then cut them down

yeah its been about 6 weeks... you have an unfair advantage though cause you actually pay attention to my grow ... I think ill start giving em water tomorrow... thanks

heya Joe, if you want a chrissy bud fest i guess ya should start flushing soon ... though they could go another coupla wks before flushing IMO ... its a personel choice really isnt it ..

hey joe I would personally wait a week or two, your probably keen to start enjoying the fruits of your labour but you'll get more weight if you hold out a little longer. I wait till about 90% red/orange pistils 10% white, but thats me. Others may harvest a little earlier to get peak maturity and a slightly more "phsyco-active" smoko.

Its personal preference really.

I shall wait then... I have not become a mighty grasshopper yet ... thanks for the help guys... I heard before to start flushing at around fifty percent orange... We'll see what happens

 

Also I'm trying to get the best smoke not the most quantity so when would you guys say that would be as far as coloration goes

To see if it is ready you should check the trichomes (the little crystals), not the hairs.

 

The colour of the trichs will progress from clear, to cloudy , to amber.

 

When you harvest depends on what kind of stone you are after.

 

The clear/cloudy side of the scale is more of a spacy kind of high, and the cloudy/amber end is more of a heavy couchlock stone.

 

A 30x magnifier or loupe will make it much easier to check the trichs.
