Aerogarden Australia

So i bought the aerogarden to give it a go, if fail i will just grow tomatoes and strawberries or some shit, doesnt worry me..

Though what alot of people i believe are doin wrong is that they arnt trimming when the growth gets too high, the light needs to get to the whole plant, if it only gets the top of the plant obviously you wont get the results you expect.

I used to grow outdoor plants and got it pretty good, since moving to a small apartment i thought id give it a go, i believe cutting the top and making it grow outward, or using weights to bend it down is the key to aerogarden growth. Its obvious this system isnt going to grow the amount most people want, but i intend only using to grow for me so i have a smoke every few months.

The tip im going to give, and i know it will work (how can it not.... warmth, light, water, nutrients, airflow, love) is when it gets to a certain height, trim the top, let it grow outward, make it real bushy, make sure there is light on every part of the plant, i have 2 lamp stands ready to set up to give light to the parts of the plant that arnt going to get it from the standard aero light.

My seeds have already sprouted and looking good, dont put too many nutrients in, ease into it, give it a look every day to see if everything is ok, love it like you love your gf or animal, treat it good and it will grow.

The problem why people fail with such a simple system is that they think about it too much, they are too busy trying new things rather than just letting the damn thing grow, if it fails, try something new, there is no excuse as to why it cannot grow weed, there is proof that it can on youtube and other forums...

Remember, this is for the small growers, not for ounces upon ounces, so dont try and grow it like it is supposed to grow ounces and ounces.

My 2 cents

thanks.

i agree it is very expensive, but i won 300 bucks playing poker from 10 bucks so used it for that, cost me nothing if u think about it, worth a try, thing is the bags im getting these days are small, the weed is crap, and its a hassle trying to find it from a decent dealer, may aswell grow my own and in a small apartment pretty much the only way to go without it lookin to dodgey..

the roots are out looking all healthy atm, will keep posted how it goes, i wont bullshit though, if it fails i will say it fails >:(

it seems kinda expensive :/ for $300 im sure you could muster up something alittle larger in individual parts then construct something, like a cheap DWC system with 2nd hand light from cash converters can cost less. and grow you lots more.

yeh sure the $300 only cost you $10 (and some time out of your life) but why blow all your money just because it was free ? think smart :yahoo: .

but that's just imo, dont take it the wrong way

:yahoo: home_grown thats the stuff. how long did it take to build and setup ? i like the imitation garden !

I always laugh at the claims of aerogarden on T.V. Theres no way those little lights can produce good tomatos, strawberries or even lettuce, these plants require intense light to produce a good crop of fruit and the energy output of those little lights just isnt enough. I reckon it's a complete waste of time for growing buds too. They would be best suited to rooting clones and growing a few herbs that have a low light demand - basil, mint, maybe oregano. Sorry imlaw but youve been conned by expert advertising, proove me wrong with some nice pics in a few months! If not, get some HID'S and you'll be happy.

good luck and sorry for the honest/harsh post.

i was thinking the same thing exactly u just found the right words. its all advertising, carefully thought out spin applied to a product to sell u something completely different to what you are buying. made in china, not your backyard.
