Bloody Hermies

I sprouted my Highgrade Seeds , Blueberry . 2 out of 3 sprouted ,, have grown them ,, and they are both hermies

Trying the White Widow now , better luck I hope .

Whats causing them to herm? Light stress or natural? If its light or stress save the seeds (Guaranteed females). If natural just pitch them.

There has been no stress . I am going to keep them hoping to get some seeds and HOPEFULLY get a female . I still have 3 of the original seeds from Highgrade , but I am going to save them . Edited November 9, 2008 by Closet Grower

Do not keep the seeds from a hermie unless it was forced stressed.

Natural hermies will produce just hermies, Forced stressed hermies are the ones that produce females.

I know that is the general opinion ,, BUT ,, I have had natural hermies before and actually gotten a female from the seeds . No harm in trying If nothing else , cant I use the pollen produced on a different plant ? Edited November 9, 2008 by Closet Grower

A natural herm will always produce herms. Using Pollen on a different plant will still give you herms you just have a harder time figuring out which ones. No harm in trying just very difficult to produce seedless bud. My advice chuck them and fine some midgrade bag seed with male x female genetics or buy from an established breeder.
