well, it was a sad day in denske land about 2 weeks ago,, i decided i cant keep my grow, i weighed it all up, an i cant really put the time into a seriuos effort at growing, ayleast not indoors, i need to be able to put them outside in some nice sun an pretty much leave them, just the occasional water an feed mission to them, i have got way too much work on here, an my carear comes way before my hydro , so i ripped about my plants ,packed my light back into the box, a threw my piping out, can always buy that shit again,, but when i get my longservice leave, { in about 9mnth} i might have time to throw it all together,, it kinda sucked as i picked about 2ounces of leaf an plenty of tips, which at the end of the day was not a bad smoke for young stuff, it was just hard to find the time to do all the little things (checking ph, mixing nutes,feeding nutes, getting water to rite ph) it doesnt sound like much, but as i was saying its getting busier at work as it was getting busier at home, im kinda pissed that i have now used up three crops worth of seed for nothing in my last 3 efforts, man growing outdoor ,i would use a few seeds an bingo a while later i had plants, with 20 times less fuss, but alonger growing time, but massive big plants bigger than me, although from what i saw of hydro, they do grow quick, a my plants that normally grow massive outside, where staying small inside an filling out nicely about 30cm tall, with tips all over it, a good sign, but the dream is over, hey i was nearly gonna when i ripped them an had decided to end it, i was gonna try an go to 12/12, just to see if could get some result, but had decided to cancell the idea an didnt want to tease myself by growing buds then not planning on growing more,, which is when i get cranking want to do,, once i get some time an sort out a no fuss method, but u still need to spend time with them as far as i can tell, theres no way out of it, is there? just thought id give u an update on denske's grow, thanks for all info guys, i will try an remember it all,

hey denske, I hear ya man. Setting up my grow is becoming a real chore. It seems all my spare time goes to working on my grow cabinets and to be honest I'm pretty fucking sick of it. Or maybe I've just had a bad day at work. I don't know, but I'm thinking of all the shit I have to do to get my bubblers set up and am not looking forward to it right now.

 

once I get everything set up right it won't be much work at all, just daily checkups which I don't mind. Just a major pain in the butt getting there.

 

all this time, money and trouble because a friend of a friend brought some good weed to card game. sometimes I wish it never happened. Fuck I'm pissed off, don't even feel like getting bent either.

It's funny huh? Some ppl go to all that trouble setting up a real stealthy grow... For me,, I know I'll be tipping and topping way before I flower them and then I'll be lucky to get through the flowering period to maturity before I get way paranoid and rip em out...but here's hoping...I'm a bit older and wiser now...so hopefully I won't be talking myself into getting busted.. I suppose the hardest part was waiting for the seeds and spending all that money on lights, nutes, pumps and medium... Now the fun part will be getting those buckets home..getting some drill bits...(I know exactly what to drill now thanks to the hydroman)...and putting them all together...I probably don't have to do it in a rush anyhow cause I'll be raising them in cutout milk bottles for a bit before they go in buckets...I feel like a ferret or a rat,,, going out and collecting all this junk and hiding it at home...wierd..I too will be glad when it's all over... I go to all this trouble because, although I don't want good smoke all the time...I'd go a very long way to get some good shit when I really want to get high...now I'm thinking in advance how I'm going to manage the mixing and pumping of those nutes...as I know it's going to be a bit of a pain...I'll probably need two or three 20 ltr buckets to have it all working well..

It's still wierd, I'm buying all this stuff little by little and hiding it in my house...then I plan to put it all together soon and make some mj...even though I know that I probably won't let it mature to my satisfaction..

Just grow a few extra plants and only tax them, when it starts to get crowded pull the extra ones, dry them and exist on that until the other plants are matured and cured, after that you should always have enough high quality mj on hand to see you through to the next harvest, all you need to do is leave your main plants alone until harvest for one grow and your leaf smoking days are over.

I think something to consider is the idea of input of effort verses yield.

I've seen a few posts about 1000 watt setups and multiple lights etc,

which is all cool if you want to go that big, but for a busy lifestyled person

who just wants enough smoke for themselves and visitors, the right 400watt

setup is no more hassle than scoring pot, and a lot cheaper. With a good sized rez - say 60 litres and some addatives to buffer ph, the res will stay in goood shape. No more than 8 plants on a drip top feed system. Some nutes are about

20 bucks a bottle dearer, but you only need to flush twice in a bloom cycle.

You only flush 3 times from clone to finished bud. 20 bucks you say! Dived that over the 10 ounces from the last harvest. It adds up to - 7 cents per gram

to not have to flush every 2nd week. Then with a 2 x 2 x 2 foot space you can set up a mother / clone room with flouros. You can take cuttings a month before you are due to harvest. As long as you set aside one day every two months to harvest and move a new batch of cuttings in to the flower room, the rest

of the time it's a lot easier than my bloody fish.

g'day; everyone forgets the easy way.......grow in pots with potting mix, water daily from tap.ignore ph.

use timers for lights, visit once a day for 5minutes.

dont get easier than that.
