Weird idea?

Ok...so lets say one wanted to grow hydroponically or with airponic equipment...

Either.

Assuming you worked out ways to contain any moisture/liquid in a seperate area without it "migrating", what do you think would happen if you were to have the roots up above the plant, and plant facing downwards, and underneath it, a grow light on the "ground" under it, facing up?

Would the plant start growing upside-down?

Would gravity somehow...make liquid/bus size swell more?

Would this eliminate/lessen the duration of the dry/hang?

I just feel like I wanna do this, just to try...I have no equipment yet, but I think I'm gonnd look further into this, just because.

Thoughts?

The plants will grow towards the light regardless if your growing upside down normally or sideways . As for what you will achive from doign this I really can't see it effecting the plants in a positive way something you will also have to watch for is that when the plants get big they could weigh enough to come unrooted Again though thats a guestimate and somethign to watch for not something i have tried out

Hope that helps a bit

i have seen this done in plastic buckets a piece of pvc pipe is put through a hole in the bottom and sealed well then around the pipe is like a donut shaped reswhere the roots sit (DWC) and the plant grows down out of the pipe at the bottom if memory serves it was recerculating with a mister or 2 at the top of the bucket and pipes at the bottom running between them pretty cool to look at but a already mentioned not too effective especially for heat as it rises so no the best in a cabthe one i seen was outdoor around the verandah like hangin baskets

have fun
