skunk#1 huh, sativa dominant, that sounds good. I suppose my main strain concerns break down thus:

1) Not too speedy

2) Needs to grow tall and thin, or, as you say 18" is perhaps not so bad bushy

Luckily, smell and time are not a great concern.

I would like to draw it out say from @September to @Christmas (by the new year) and then again to say round bout now. Summer off

I want to maximize two big harvest. What is double flowering? I mean how does one do that? Because perhaps I could string it out on both ends of the crop.

So the big question: What does skunk #1 smoke like?

I tried something called Bubble Gum the other day ( a few days actually). It pretty much taste like it sounds. Kind of girly. Pretty cool, laid back high... some munchies  no real paranoia. Anyway, it was fine for the price but not really my bag.

Skunk is good pot, its not real speedy like a pure sativa, its more of a hybrid stone that don't put you to sleep, anyhoo, it tastes good, kinda sweet but not too sweet like a fruity indica, but more like an indica than most sativas.

But it is bushy, and short and doesn't stretch that much.

Pipeman, a 6ft indica isn't gonna become 12ft at harvest, some indicas would finish at 61/2 foot if flowered at 6ft, in general I reckon leave 2ft for a indica hybrid 3ft for a sativa hybrid and 4ft for pure equatorial sativa.

anyhoo, are you growing 8ft tall plants or have I missed something, 8ft tall is way deeper than a 400w light can penetrate, you'll waste time growing stems.

Thats funny that you call bubblegum girly, I guess it is, my missus don't like it that much, she thinks all the sweet strains taste the same except romulan.

But I like bubblegum, I reckon its more like a little kids strain than a girls strain.

hey boz, you keep saying you want something that grows tall and thin, but I really think this is the wrong idea. You want bushy plants to fill out your grow area. As White Cluster said a tall plant for a small light is a waste of time. The main buds will always be towards the top. Getting your plants to fill out your grow AREA is the most important factor to getting the most yield out of your light.

Hey bozbongou, what type of stone are you actually looking for? Laid back or one that still lets you function? My last few grows have been Bubble Gum and nobody ever accused it of being "girly", if you are after a functional high, one where you could still go out and mow the lawn, a Sativa dominant is the way to go.

I had to go out in the world there for a minute and make some bread, which seems to be getting sparcer by the day. The bubblegum that I had would probably vary in quality from what you all have, as many of you seem to be in Australia. I had occassion to get something called blackberry and I thought that was tasty stuff, a bit sleepy perhaps.

Thanks for helping sort out my selection, Tom and all, I guess I am indeed more of a sativa person. It is nice to get zonked on occassion though. Maybe I could grow two sats and an indica. That skunk sounds nice, indeed!

Has anyone done extensive tying of plants to allow light to penetrate deeper? Any problems with it? Good to see you again.
