tricotyledon

Recommended Posts

In my limited growing experience I have only ever allowed seedlings to go a few weeks before paranoia (who said that?) gets the better of me and everything gets pulled.

Several years ago I got about twenty seeds going from some very nice flowers and one(1) seed came up tricotyledon. Water leaves came up tri then first real leaves tri and so on.

Is this common? I have only ever seen it once and I am starting to kick myself that I let it go.

It's funny that this topic should come up at this point in time. lol

Well it turns out that my fem Belladonna seed that I popped recently is a trifoliate! :D

It broke thru on Saturday and I noticed last night that it has three seed leaves.

Today I went and had a look and noticed that the first lot of serrated leaves coming thru are three of as well.

The jiffy does look rather wet but don't stress it. It was watered yesterday and it's in a humidi-dome, home made ofc. ^_^

I doubt I will have to water again for another week or even longer.

I'm hoping it keeps the trifoliate trait but from what I have heard it will probably grow out. :)

Oh well. I'm still excited coz it's my first freak of nature. I like freaks. >:(

Happy gardening.

Synchronicity... It Happens All The Time except most people never seem to notice until you point it out to them...
