20W lamp for my seedlings

Recommended Posts

Since I'm a first-time grower and my 2 little babies have just sprouted, I'm raising the seedlings inside my wardrobe with a low-watt desk lamp! Only 20 watts. It's working, although slowly, but I've decided not to buy all that expensive hydro equipment - I'll be growing outdoors. So once they grow to be about 10cm high with the fan leaves, then I'll transplant them to the wild.

In the meantime, here's my setup:

As you can see, I've had to cut a circular hole into the top of the box to allow the lamp to fit. This way it reduces the amount of light escaping into the wardrobe at night:

My first seedling, already with 2 sets of serrated leaves:

My second seedling, about a day or two younger than the first:

*** both seedlings were planted in the soil just over 1 week ago.

what you never made seedlings before? you never took care of them so rats dont fucking eat them when you put them outside?

Outdoors is my best thing, indoors, not so much. If you dont have any evidence to back up your arguement FUCK OFF

Yes, it is a CFL. Thanks Leafy.

Well the main thing I'm concerned about is the possible lack of CO2 in there... I've heard of a cheap option where you use yeast organisms, sugar and water to generate some carbon dioxide. At the moment since they're small they probably won't need that much but eventually they will.
