What to do?

I've just extended my little grow cupboard from just over 1meter to 1.6meters as they got too tall! I should have turned them earlier to 12/12 but anyway Ive had them on 12/12 for a few days now after giving them 48 hours of dark to kick start the flowering.

After the 48 hour dark peroid I have 2 confirmed females and one def male.Is this normal to show sex so soon?? still waiting on the other 3 to show sex...

Can I do this again (48hours of dark) to further minimize the stretch and encourage a more rapid on set of flowering?or could this cause them to chuck a hermie ?

Any advice be great thanks

I watched something awhile ago that said you can give a 72hr dark period right the beggining of flowering to stop stretch, and bring on quicker flowers.

But I would imagine it does stress them, also if you've already given them at 48hr dark, then turned lights back on, i'd leave them be, bouncing around the photoperiod to often could cause problems.

im a lazy arse who sometimes gets too stoned to water the garden and just turns everything off for the night. a couple of times i have done that right at the start of flowering and from what i have seen it makes the plants show their sex faster, stresses them a little and in the end reduces your yield lol you'd think it would help with the stretching as well, but from my experience the plants go looking for light when they go without and because the plant isnt recieving any new energy the new growth is weak :bongon: its also prone to burning when the lights turn on which can be a real pain in the arse lol

my advice is to not rush the plants and let them go at their own rates. its the only way you'll be able to get the most out of your plants and that will make picking a mother that much easier not to mention the increased yield lol
