Weed Sniffing Dog Searches

I am new to this forum and I have a real serious issue coming up. My husband is traveling and I've heard that there may be checkpoints with dogs since he's going to TX.

 

What is the best way other than luck to help him throw the dogs off so they wont smell it. He thinks if he double bags it in freezer bags and then puts it down in the cooler that will be filled with ice and cold water and other foods including an open bologna package that they wont smell it. Is this true? Or I've heard that if you use some kind of hunting scent that will throw em off too.

 

Can someone help me with this?

We used to use 2 layers of the oven baking bags (some sort of heat resistant thick clear plastic) with the air removed and we'd put mothballs in amongst the clothes in our boot, just to make sure. You have to be careful not to get resin on the outsides of the bags, or you've wasted your time.

Also, Clean or shampoo the car very well before, in case there are any residual pot odors in the car and tell them to keep everything looking clean, neat & tidy, so cops are less likely to profile them as pot-people.

 

If they ask to search, just say politely "No. It's every Citizens Constitutional right to refuse unjustified warrantless searches". When they say... you must be trying to hide something..., clearly, confidently & politely say "No, Is that all officer, may I go now?".

Stand your ground in a non-violent polite manner & there's not too much they can legally do in the U.S., unless you 'look' like a ' t e r r o r i s t ' . . . *cough*

 

If all the above doesn't work just tazer the nosy bastards 2 or 7 times, rip out the recording device in their vehicle & utterly incinerate the cop car before changing your direction of travel & then flying to another Country which won't extradite to the U.S.

@ Kali Mist! The only prob with cleaning the car is that they will be smoking on their way there. Yea I know...but you know how great it is to cruise stoned!

 

Another friend also said to sprinkle cayenne pepper around in the car in the carpet. That ruins their noses ...damn dogs need to get their own weed! >.< I found that one out last night.

 

It pisses me off that we have to live this way...like criminals! I've been smokin since 1972 so i'm an ol skool moker. It used to be that I could be loud n proud about it back then...we smoked everywhere and no one bothered the damn hippies! Now ...I may as well be a crackhead the way they treat us! I was even leary about joining this forum since my neighbor thinks the Feds look at EVERYTHING online.

If you can get some pure lavender oil and sprinkle that around the car it will help. It has to be very good quality oil though. Can relate to the old days of smoking. Here in Oz I and a bunch of mates would go to a pub in Prahran Victoria on a Saturday afternoon, the Station Hotel and listen to a band called Skyhooks. The Prahran police station is right next door to the pub and I reckon the police were getting stoned from all the smoke that would come out of the pub but they would never come in, they new it was not necessary as there were never any fights or problems. Good luck with your trip. Or if you have enough smoke why not make some cookies and eat you way to wherever TX is.

when i had to smuggle some of mine, i did a roast chicken. Filled it with some stuffing, put 3 ounces in glad bags in, then put the rest of the stuffing.

 

sprinkle some pepper etc on it so if the dogs do sniff it they struggle to smell it, and its a chicken. Even with dogs it's understandable they like to sniff chickens.

 

also glad bag some pot, chuck it in the big 2L tomato sauce containers. shake it up a bit so you cant see it.

 

they're the tricks i use.
