Will shaking/beating a plant promote root growth?

Recommended Posts

Never heard of that tale 2minspast420 but do agree with Mongy. I have found my stems are always nice and strong and healthy due to the constant breeze on them from the fan/s. ^_^

 Talk like that will have the Cannabis Protection Agency hunting you down ....

:peace:

I'm surprised the Cannabis Protection Agency has been knocking on my door yet.... Especially after what I have put plants thru so far..... ;) lol

I tried excersizing some branches on my Pure last week and snapped the main branch. Think I'll just wet them down next time for some less stressful conditioning....

Oooooops!

I guess it's something to learn by then. ^_^ Hehehe

I've heard and read this quite a few times.

Is it true or BS?

Do you give your plants a bit of a thrashing? and if so, is there any particular technique

or time that's best?

thanks

 Would you shake your child or mother or pet to make them stronger? Or give them a thrashing? Earth mother has given us one of the greatest gifts known to man, you must treat them with love and respect. ;)

I can only think of one reasaon you "trash" a marijuana plant - the situation is this...

It's heading into March you well into flower the buds are huge - i mean bent over 160 degrees, (12 - 14 g's each bud weights being 1 -2 " thick 12 - 16 " long - and this season (time ) is renown at this time for raining contiguously - 3 - 4 days with no let up. Under these outdoor growing conditions I have found it use full to pick up the 25 Lt pot and while holding the weighted but tops of the plant I thrash it about in order to eliminate the water that has biult up on the heads. It waa an easy practical solution. You obiously have to be carefull as they can snap the plant at a near harvest pint.

As for doing it for any other reason I thiink it would be a stupit thinkg to do.

PS? I could not drag up thhat pas "Bowing Buddah" grow - I think it was summer 05 or 06.
