New NSW Premier, Nathan Rees, could there be hope?

Recommended Posts

well I was pretty shocked when i heard about this. Even though I always thought the Iemma was a massive douchebag.

Anyway the story goes this Rees fellow, is a self made left wing labour member, who worked as a garbage man before going into politics. Even more interesting is that before that he was a greenskeeper after finishing year 12. He's only 40 years old and is often described as 'street smart'.

He seems like a good bloke, when he first joined parliament he was working under the minister for aboriginal affairs.

Talk about a strong candidate for a spokesperson for medical pot. I'd be very interested to see his stance on my beloved.

any thoughts?

Hey bufo ...

lmao as usual at some of your posts

Just an update ... ;)

I inhaled, admits Premier

FORMER garbo turned NSW premier Nathan Rees admits he smoked marijuana as a young bloke, but says it was never a habit.

In his first full day as leader of NSW, the 40-year-old was asked if he had smoked cannabis.

"Yes," he told reporters.

"Many years ago. It has never become a habit or anything like that."

Mr Rees took over yesterday from Morris Iemma, who quit politics after his faction balked at his planned cabinet reshuffle.
